Waiting for Spring
As the winter cold slowly sets in, the leaves fall one by one, leaving the tree branches bare.
Most plant life goes into hibernation, in the freeze, storing their energy deep inside them,
the animals find a warm place to huddle, going out only if they are starving.
Food is scarce, trees offer only bark, to preserve their own lives, in the cold,
damp winter days and long freezing nights, waiting for spring.
